WONDER were tasked by Google to produce a distinctive and immersive design for their stand at this years British Education Training & Technology Show, an exhibition attended by 35,000 educators, leaders and techies from the world of teaching.

BETT is the largest show of its kind and as this was the fourth year WONDER had designed Google’s stand; expectations were high. WONDER needed to ensure that the concept fell in-line with Google’s evolving brand identity whilst maintaining high-levels of delegate engagement and footfall, consistent with previous years.

Our stand concept moved away from the simple design used in 2015, with a creative overhaul to introduce a more textured and tactile structure. The immersive space offered more opportunities for visitors to try and test Google products and incorporated a versatile meeting space adaptable to both small, intimate meetings as well as larger seminars for up to 50 people.

The stand featured a Teaching Theatre which facilitated a full itinerary of talks and demo's by Googlers, school managers and teachers. Students themselves also had plenty of opportunity to get involved too; hosting their own demo's on how they used Google in a variety of school projects.

Visitors were encouraged to spend time on the stand, exploring the technology and testing its application in a range of scenarios. They enjoyed open access to the Google for Education team who were all keen to listen, share insights and expertise as well as 'in the classroom' experiences.
