Wonder

Campus 4th Birthday Party

March 2016 |  East London

Google briefed WONDER to develop a creative concept for Campus’ 4th Birthday. An event to bring together 250 Campus members and other collaborators to celebrate the co-working initiatives success and showcase Campus’ ongoing work.

Having opted for a global theme in 2015, Google were keen to bring their audience back to the original Campus location in the heart of Shoreditch to reflect the vibrancy of East London’s tech hub. Campus was not looking to position itself as the new kid on the block, but as an established space dedicated to supporting start-ups. Essentially, the theme had to reflect the initiatives coming-of-age and its warm, open and inviting approach, incorporating interactive elements without being gimmicky.

Exploring ideas around life in London, WONDER opted to turn the space into a festival for the evening. Features around growth and development were woven throughout the event including stalls and bars from the burgeoning local street food scene to a live UV art installation by East London graffiti artist The DoodleMan. We also included a vertical wall garden in the shape of the Campus logo, which will go on growing long after the event had finished.

We helped drive social media coverage through use of a hashtag printer, where guests could tag their posts with #CampusLondon4th and receive a free print to take home. This helped increase the usual number of posts on Instagram & Twitter and amplify awareness.
